Lisa Gorman Evans : May 10, 2022
Where were you,
Where were you when my first grandchild Lily was born? Where were you when Pam and Roger had Sylvan? Where were you when Matt and Gina had their second daughter Vivienne? Where were you when me, the dyslexic slow reader earned her reading endorsement? Where were you at Vincent and Paola s wedding when I looked around and didn t see you, or when I looked up at Cindy in the hotel room and burst into tears because she looked like you and through my tears I said I hadn t seen mom in so long . I miss you, we miss you.
You left us before we were ready for you to go. Happy Birthday. Happy Mother s day. Love, Lisa
David : It s your birthday 2022, and I m thinkin of you. (Hey, that rhymes!) Love you mom!
Gail : Happy Birthday to my dear sister! I love and miss you so much!!!
Marcia : It s April 23, 2022
and I miss you more each year. Not only on your Birthday.
Not a day goes by......
Love you
Lisa, your youngest : Oh, its December 12, 2021
Lisa, your youngest : Its the holidays. You never had the blessing of being a great grandma. Oh how much I wish you were still here. Dad met Lily at my 60th birthday celebration, now he will meet Vivienne soon. I hope Pam and Roger take Sylvan out to meet his great grandpa. I love you and miss you mom.❤
Lisa..your youngest : Happy Mothers Day Mom. I have some many moments I wish I could have shared with you thought the years. It hurts that you are not here to be with me but I am so happy you are at peace. I see you each time I put on a piece of clothing I got from you, wear your shoes, or a piece of jewelry, and that is so often. I see you in the love of reading and writing that grew in me over the year and will forever be a part of me. Thank you mom for helping make me the woman I am today.
Marcia : Missing you today, on your Birthday and always.
Not a Day Goes By.......
Love you
Gail : Happy Birthday to my wonderful sister! I?m thinking about you always!!
Love you!!!
Husband Irwin : Looking again at that wonderful shot of you, it was at a Marine Base in Hawaii. The course had a half dozen holes right on the water as this one. I can t believe how beautiful you looked that day with the sun in your eyes and your great smile. But you were always happy when you were near water and just look behind you. Since your ashes are at Jones Beach and hurricane Sandy went through there , whenever I swim in the ocean, be it Hawaii, or the Caribbean or if I put my hand in the water down in Florida, I m with you and always will be with you. How does that song go? Body and Soul? Love forever, just little ol me and 3 inches shorter too.
Marcia : Rhoda,,,,,
Not a day goes by .....not a month, not a year....miss you and love you💕
Cindy : Mom, you know that I hate reading, but that pertains to books. I love reading the Message Board that David made and all of the posts that have been added. I miss you and love you. You're always in my heart!
Lisa..your youngest : April 7 Brother David, thank you for this . Mom, isn t he terrific! Love and miss you. I know you are enjoying reading your messages. Love, Lisa
David 04-07-21 : Mom - I have spent the last three weeks rebuilding this message board from scratch, so... happy reading, Reada! We all love and miss you!
Jeff Gorman : Wow did not know you kept this message board active. Aunt Rhoda...you have come up a lot in conversation amongst the families (mine and yours) and you are remembered with such warmth, grace and humor. I have been fortunate to see and keep in touch with your family over the years and I consider myself lucky for the moments we get to spend together. Love you and miss you.
David May 9, 2020 : Happy Mothers Day mom! Susie just lost her mom, so we are now both mom-less. Love you and miss you, and think of you often.
Lisa.. your youngest : May 9, 2020 Mom finally I got out... I got the job I wanted at another school where I have to the chance or being appreciated and respected. This Mother s Day I think of all the things I would be chatting with you about. Mom, I miss you. I love you and I thank you for the positive influence you had on me and my children.
Lisa.. your youngest : Dear mom I think of so many things I wish you could have seen. Number one is my grandchildren. But I also think that somehow you would have some great advice for what s going on in my career, the struggles I m having. Then again I m kinda thankful that you dont have to see all the suffering in the world still. And then I realize you are at peace and I eagerly await to chat with you again someday. I love you and miss you mom.
David 1-17-2020 : 13 years. Turned on my (safe) electric candle today... thinking of you. Gonna have lunch with dad today, too. (Yes, after I am finished with my client!) And yes, I know gonna is not a word. We all miss you and love you!
David 11-05-19 : A number of us just visited your Decisions photo again, and we are all taking about it... while missing you. Please ask where there is a computer so you can check in and see what people have written. (My Heaven would definitely have computers, so there should be one somewhere. And no, DisplayWriters did not have internet access!) :) Love you, mom!
Lisa.. your youngest : Mom, there are so many times I miss you. I so wish you could have met Lily and Pam and Rogers upcoming baby. It s sad to say they will never have you take them to museums or share your love of reading. I read to Lily when I get a chance and I ll have to start taking her to museums to share the traditions. I love you mom.
Lisa.. your youngest : Cant believe how long you ve been gone. You never got to meet Lily, my first grandchild, and you wont get to meet my next when Pam and Roger have theirs. Darn, I miss you (
Cindy 6-23-19 : Mom, always thinking about you and always missing you. So many things I do or say remind me of you. I LOVE YOU ALwAYS!!
Irwin : Just looked at that wonderful picture of Rhoda standing with the water at her back totally relaxed. She will be happy on the beach forever, as she always was. Guess I will have to swim with her again. She would like that. Never will stop loving her.
David, son of Rhoda : Happy Birthday, mom. Already wished Linda hers on Facebook, but you have this special page I created just for you. (And for us, since we miss you!) I love you, mom...

Marcia : Rhoda.....So much to share with you. I miss you so much. Happy Birthday. Not a day goes by..... I love you
Dave: 4/23/17 : I wished Linda Happy Birthday on Facebook. Susie and I were discussing how to send greetings to someone who had passed. I told her I d find an online forum that was no longer with us... and post there! (I may still have my old Prodigy login info.) Hope this gave you a smile. Love you and miss you, mom!
Marcia: 4/23/17 : Happy Birthday to you, Rhoda. I miss you and love you more than words can express. Not a day goes by......
Gail : Happy Birthday to my wonderful sister! I will miss you forever!!
Dave 01-25-17 : Turned on an electric candle last night, and for whatever reason, the battery is still going strong. If it goes for eight days... oh wait. Anyway, thinking of you, and trying to make you smile. Just like the old days! Miss you, mom! Love you!
Vincent : I miss you so much Grandma. I think about you a lot and often wonder what we would talk about at this point in our lives. I love you (((**)))!

Cindy May 8, 2016 : HAPPY MOTHER S DAY MOM! I know you re here with us, one way or the other, and you re always going to be my mother. You were the best Mom and friend to me and I love you and miss you with all of my heart.

Marcia : Today is your Birthday. How I wish I could chat with you and share with you so many things. I miss you so much. Not a day goes by........ I love you.
Lisa : Mom, there are so many ways I think of you so often, Books are number one, but the jewelry and clothes I wear are right behind it. Thank you for teaching me so many things about the beauty of life via books, art, the beach... LIFE! I miss you
Vincent : Still read all of our emails and always think of you. I love you (((**)))!
Cindy 1-17-76 : Mom, nine years have gone by since you physically left us but not one day has gone by that I haven t thought about you. You ll always be in my heart. I love you and miss you so much!
David : I can remember the day we lost you like it was yesterday. It still hurts. I mention you every so often, and still get compliments on the geek shirt you gave me. Good night, mom. I love you and miss you!
Marcia : Rhoda, it s 9 years today and I can t believe it. I miss you as much today as I did 9 years ago. Maybe even more. Not A DAY GOES BY......... So much to share with you. Love you.

Marcia : Thinking of you and missing you on your Birthday, today, and always. Not a day goes by.......
Gail : I think about you constantly. I love you and miss you!
Marcia : Rhoda...How can it be 8 years??? I miss you each and every day. Not a day goes by..... when I think of you and want to share something with you. My memories are so vivid. I love you.
Cindy : Mom, Just want you to know that a day doesn t go by that I don t think about you and miss you. There are so many things I do or say or see that remind me of you. You were the best mom anyone could ever have. I love you always.
Marcia : Happy 80th Birthday. How I wish I could tell you in person. Just know that not a day goes by? I love you and miss you.
Gail : Happy Birthday to my wonderful sister. I love you and miss you!
David : Happy Birthday, mom. I think of you often, especially since I have a photo of you next to my electric toothbrush. This should please both you and my dentist. I love you!
Marcia : Been thinking of you, as I do each and every day, and wanted to tell you that Gail and I were together on January 17. There are so many wonderful things I wanted to share with you. Not a day goes by.... when I wish you could know how much you are missed. Four years..... Love you, Marcia
Pam : Grandma: Mom and I just spent some time in the city - seeing all the family. We stayed with Gail & Jeff and got to spend some time in the city with Linda. Mom and I braved the city on our own the last night and saw an off-Broadway show. Mom said you always took the kids to those. She said you would be proud of the way I got us around the city (you know she has no sense of direction). I wish I could have had a tour of the city from you. I never knew the NYC side of you the last time we were in the city together I was four. Mom and I both missed having you there...
David : I sent Linda a birthday e-mail, since it is easy to remember the date. It s the same as my mom s. (Or was my mom s the same as Linda s? No, my mom had it first...) Yup, we re all thinking of you today. Love you, mom! - Davie PS - Yes, I checked my spelling. :)
Marcia : Today, April 23rd, your (76th)Birthday. Been thinking of you all day. Miss you and wish I could share so many things with you today, on your birthday, and on just ordinary days. Thanks to David I can share these thoughts and feelings. As I said before... Not a day goes by...
David : Keep hearing mothers day ads and thinking of you. Susie and I both miss you... but she is the one who wears your necklaces and looks great in them. I (we) love you. And now, I have to go clean off whomever in Russia has been writing on this board...
Cindy : 4-16-10 Just want you to know I m thinking about you and miss you. I miss our phone calls too, especially the hour long ones, then the ones right after that, cause we had forgotten to say something the first time. I love you....always.
Lisa again : February 7, 2010 Happy Valentine s Day by the way. My heart is with you forever.
Your daughter Lisa : Mom, I miss you, yesterday, today, always. There are so many days I think to e-mail or call you. So I just look up to the heavens and speak to you.
Marcia : Three years today...January 17, 2010 and I miss you. Spoke with Gail as I do every day and shared a funny story about your golf game. Wish I could share it with you. Wish I could share so many, many things with you. I repeat... Not a day goes by...
Irwin, me, IG, Col : Irwin, me, IG, Colonel...: Don t remember where I took that picture, but we were playing golf and you had to hit over the water and were deciding which club to use. Most likely was Hawaii or Maine. What a muscle in that left arm, I should remember it. I hadn t visited this site for over two years but did today and read all that was written to you. Everyone keeps writing to the Reada because they knew you cared and loved them. And I still cry so easily. All my love Hon.
Gail : Just a rainy June day, 2009 when Marcia asked me to find this website. I did not need any reminders as I think of you every day. Saw an old ex-friend of yours recently when I was at the Long Island Childrens Museum with Max. Just happened to need change and the only place to get it was in the gift shop there. Janice was working there. Anyway, hope you know everything that is written here. I bet you found a way to read these. Also, Marcia and I talk every day and see each other as much as we can. We miss you and wish you could be with us although you are always with us in spirit. Love you!!
Marcia : Two years today. The sun comes up, I think about you... Missing you more than words can express.
Lisa : Mom, This Mother s Day 2008 I walked by all the cards in Hallmark and knew that my mom was gone...there was no mom on Earth to think about. I left the shop sad and lost. It took me days to realize I am lucky to have aunts who look after me and my step daughter as a new mom. I guess I will have to gather the inner strength to shop in the Mother s Day card section in the future. I don t know how I will do that without crying!!!!
Lisa : Mom, I will never ever get get you out of my mind. You are such a part of me. I miss you more than I could have ever anticipated. Mom... oh how I miss you. I love you forever!!! Hugs, your baby
Caryl : Happy birthday. Thinking of you. Miss you. Love to you.
Vincent : Hey Grandma. Just wanted to let you know that I think about you often. I ve been reading a lot more than usual, I figured you would love that. I miss you very much and think constantly of things that we could have done. I love you and will always pass on the memories that we shared. You were a great grandmother, great inspiration, great mentor, and great woman.
Caryl : I think of you often and miss you alot. Remembering the fun times together is easy. Getting used to not having you to be with is hard.
Marcia : One year today. Seems like 10 minutes..... Feels like an eternity.
Cindy : Mom, Just want you to know that I am thinking of you (and have been) and love you and miss you very, very much. HAPPY MOTHER S DAY 2007. Love, CINDY
Caryl & Bob : We know that you are at peace now. We will let our love and fond, happy memories of you sustain us.
Mark & Mary : We see you smiling and hear you singing. We are so lucky to have known you. om shanti
Lisa : Good Night, Be Well, Sweet Dreams, I Love you! Peace to you Mom!
David 01-17-07 : My mom, Rhoda, passed away this afternoon, Wednesday January 17th. Dad was by her side. She went peacefully. Again, thank you all for writing. I am sure my dad will be reading anything added from now on, so you may continue to leave messages about my mom here. We will all miss her. With love, David
Helene : AM THINKING OF YOU ALL THE TIME. YOU MUST FEEL THOSE STRONG VIBES WHICH SAY HAVE TO TALK TO YOU OVER AND OVER AGAIN. LOVE YOU AND I KEEP GETTING THOSE OLD AGE JOKES WHICH I DON T THINK I WANT TO PASS ON TO YOU SO JUST STAY ON MY WAVELENGTH AND YOU LL KNOW WHAT I AM THINKING. LOVE HELENE. THE BEST TO IRWIN AND DAVID AND SUSIE. E-MAIL WITH CINDY ONCE IN AWHILE.
Andy & Barb : Second to love is laughter. From our vantage point it seems you have PLENTY of both, and are great at passing spreading both LOVE and LAUGHTER around. Thank you. And thank you for the visits. And the gifts. We love you. Peace, Andy and Barb
Theo &Mac : Thanks so much for the rocking horse email you sent last month. We love looking at it. We can still sit on Mommy s lap by the computer and watch the magic. Love, Great Nephews Theo & Mac
Matthew : Dear (((**))) & (**), I heard about where gramma now is and I just wanted to say (if you could read this to her I would appreciate it greatly no matter she can hear you or not.) that I love you both very much I thank you for your very giving gift on behalf of the new Evans family we wish to express our sincerest gratitude. We will put it to good use on our trip to Peru. I don t how to say this exactly in words but that which is in heart. I love you. For all the times I did not call, I should have, for every time I did not write I should have, and every time I did not come to visit I should have. I love you and i don t how many more times I will be able to say I love you, so I hope that one more will really send it home...I LOVE YOU. Love, Matthew
Lisa : I just arrived back in Orlando after Matt & Gina s wedding. You were missed and I hugged the bride and groom on your behalf. Love & wishes from Keith (who is still in California until the 19th) & the new...Mr. & Mrs. Matthew Evans.
Helene : We ve shared a lot of e.s.p. over the years, 62 yrs. to be exact.....now HEAR This.....I love you and we will always have that bond of strong friendship. While I am writing this I can t help thinking of all the things we shared--selling those crazy bouquets made of plants from the neighbor-hood for charity and other stupid things. Ed and I love you, and am so glad we saw you about a month ago. love Helene
Cindy : Mom, I can t stop thinking about you. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
David : Just to let you all know, this morning (Monday 1/15/07) I visited my parents at the hospice facility, and using my Sidekick, was able to read them all of the messages below. So, both my mom and dad DID get to hear what you ve all written. Thank you all for taking the time to write. love, David
Marcia : RHODA: thing??? You know I meant think. See....I still need you to edit for me. Love you.
Marcia : Rhoda: To quote Stephen Sondheim: The sun comes up, I thing about you...... Love you.
Jeff G : Aunt Rhoda - Even at your quietest times, you speak volumes. You teach us every day to love those near to us to be courageous and to always have humor. Thanks for the lessons. Love you, Jeff
Gail : Atlantic City - Slot Machines - That s all I have to say. Hope you read this! That s the most fun I ve ever had! Love you!
Ron (continued) : Lisa and I were so excited and thankful that you were able to make it to our wedding. We know how difficult it was for you to travel at that time, but in spite of all the challenges, you were there for a moment in time that I will always remember. Our wedding was so much more special because you were there. Thank you for everything that you have done for Lisa, her children, and I. Thank you for always being there when we need you. Thank you for raising such a wonderful and caring daughter. Thank you for the love you shared, and most of all, thank you for being Rhoda. I love you!
Ron : Rhoda (mom), Thank you for accepting me into your family. I have never known a more loving and supportive group of people. I have enjoyed every minute we have spent together. You and Irwin are the most caring and gracious hosts that I have ever known. Each time Lisa and I came out to visit, you made us feel so welcome and comfortable. I know you weren t feeling well the last couple of times Lisa and I came to visit, but we enjoyed the time we were able to spend with you. I can t thank you enough for allowing us to spend that time with you. There is no one better than you at Up Words, and Lisa and I always enjoyed playing board games with you. The love, dedication, and devotion you and Irwin share is the strongest I have ever known.
Pam : I remember going to a rodeo when I was little and you guys got me to try the Indian fry bread. I loved it. Every time I came after that I wanted to stop and get some.
Lisa : I just told Pam s friend the stories of all the places you used to take us to in the city. YOUR city! The Clariol hair salon, Burlington coat factory, all the wonderful places you always knew to take us to. WOW, thanks for the amazing experiences. XO
Pam : I remember shopping in Sedona and the wonderful books on tape that we always had to listen to over the years on the trips to places all over the West. Also, I remember that there was a dust storm when I was little and Grandma was holding on so tight because she thought that I might blow away.
Pam : Of course I wanted to say thank you to both of you for all you have done for me over the years. You have always been a huge part of my life. You have given me so many opportunities and experiences over the years. Thank you so much for that. They have all been great.
Robin : Wow...Eric....Snapshot of the 70s is the perfect explanation...The special door bell ring with the anticipation of Charlie and that fun gazebo.. The older cousins weren t bad either....More personally, I ll always remember the unique birthday gift each year...The great articles that came in the mail....You and Irwin s display of true love for each other! I love you always.....Thanks for being a great sister to my mom! Love Always, Robin
Bob(by) : You ve been my sister since I was a teenager, and that was surely Irwin s best move ever. Of all the intervening years, the best have been the recent ones in Arizona. You and Irwin were so blissfully happy about the place, that Caryl and I concluded we ought to come out and join you. And our best Arizona times have been with you and the Colonel -- movies, meals, music and board games. We ve really seen what an extraordinary person you are -- with and without your writing board. I ve been moved by your sense of humor, your courage, and your love (and Irwin s love for you). I echo Caryl s affectionate words, and we both send our love.
Allan : I believe that it is extremely rare to find sisters (you, Gail and Marcia), as close as you are. It s because of you as the elder sister who taught your younger sisters how to get along, grow and prosper in your relationships. I enjoyed babysitting for you and Irwin early on and even checking out that property you bought in Southern California. Love to you and Irwin.
Susie : Wow, what an awesome tribute to a wonderful woman! To experience life is a gift. To experience it with a woman who is described with words such as loving, bright, caring, brave and good (just to name a few) is an honor. Rhoda, you have definitely brought out the good in many people. We love you!!
Caryl : Being sisters-in-law has always been fun. becoming good friends is priceless. I have truly enjoyed the shopping trips together and the fun times we had while traveling. I always learned something new when we were together. I thank you so much for sharing your friends with me and always making me feel welcome. Thanks for always recommending good tv show to me even though I always forgot to watch them. I will always wish that it could have lasted forever. I love you.
Melissa : Aunt Rhoda...I love you! Some of my memories... Always thinking you had a drink spilt on your counter in Jericho...the fake soda. Hanging out under the stairs...was it the piano that was around there? Something I will never forget..my birthday dinner to the Indian restaurant. Did you think I would eat anything?? :) The racks of clothes I always came to look through with my mom. Now that we are living in Old Bethpage...my mom ALWAYS reminds me of which house you guys lived in. Love you!
Eric : And a great aunt, too! I ll never forget the house in Old Bethpage. It s my snapshot of the 1970 s. With all my older cousins around, it was always an adventure and a look forward at teenage years I couldn t comprehend yet. There was that studded leather trunk near the front door and Charlie running all over the place. I remember hiding under the willow tree in the back yard and hanging out on the gazebo. And then the big bagel gatherings in Jericho with you making sure everyone had everything they needed through that hole in the wall between the dining room and the kitchen. Having you and Marcia around was like having an extra set of moms to learn from. Since you moved to Arizona, the holidays have never been the same. You once got my father a Patagonia belt that he didn t like (sorry, dad) so he gave it to me. I ve been wearing it for years and I m wearing it now, so thanks for holding
Jeff : Babysitting for the kids in Levittown or Old Bethpage without A/C was such fun. Visiting in AZ with Gail was LOTS of fun and even playing the games at night. We survived. You have always been a strong person. Who else could have put up with Irwin for all these years. You re a great wife, mother, sister and grandma. Gail & I love you so much!
Jeff : I know you ve been a great woman. What other person could have put up with Irwin for all these years. We loved babysitting for your kids in Levittown and even in Old Bethpage with no A/C. Gail & I loved being you guys and even playing the games at night when we stayed over in AZ. Life is a journey that takes us to all kinds of places. You have lived it right and I hope I can do the same. A great wife, mom, grandma, sister, and a real fighter. Gail & I love you very much.
Vincent : I have to admit that I have always looked up to you for being my grandmother, for loving me, and for doing what grandmas do. However, when I wrote a paper about you in my women s study class in college I understood how great of a woman you truly are. So strong, so focused, and so supportive. There is not another woman that I would have rather studied, analyzed, and written about. Your history, your power, your perseverance, and your love for yourself and others is completely enthralling. I love you sooo much Grandma....so so so much.
Lisa : I am still thinking how you and Cindy never let me teach you swimming. Hey, I am a really good swim instructor!! At least we did water aerobics together :)
Lisa : Love You Forever... Great book, huh ma? I do, Love You FOREVER!
David : Mom - Please don t be upset by this board. I didn t do it just for you. I did it to save everyone you know tens of thousands of dollars in airfare! (See? You taught me well!) :) Thanks for EVERYTHING you ve taught me over the years, and also for all the times you ve been there for me. I love you!
Sister Carol : Dear Rhoda, The trip the 4 of us took to Turkey is one of my fondest memories. We bought beautiful rugs there and we all had such a great time. The happiest though was the trip to Hawaii. Remember when Irwin, Bobby, Caryl, you and I were bumping along in the car and Caryl got nauseous? Thankfully you saved her with the ginger you had in your purse. We all enjoyed playing Phase 10 with you as well. Rhoda, remember when we were in the restaurant and the two of us became hysterical for no reason at all. We were laughing so hard we couldn?t even eat!
Steven : Rhoda, Irwin and the rest of the Gorman family: COINCIDENCE? You decide. I think not. My Mom shared with me an email this weekend Irwin wrote updating on Rhoda s health and the going s on in Scottsdale, and it not surprisingly brought many fond memories to mind the most recent of which was our family all (or almost all) together at Lisa and Ron s wedding. More than ironic though was the email I opened immediately after pausing for those day dreams. It seemed innocuous enough concerning Zachary s Spring Baseball League, but it was much more. To borrow a phrase from Maxwell Smart, would you believe....Zachary s team s name -- the Angels........his team sponsor -- Project A.L.S. A part of you Rhoda is and will be with all of us always. My love to all, Steven
Linda : I can t quite find the right words to express how much you mean to me. You have always been such an inspiration. I have so many wonderful memories from my childhood that include you and I will never forget them. From all of the museums, shows, trips, dinners, articles-- I have learned so much. Not only have you taught me valuable lessons, but you have always been supportive of me in everything that I did. From my pre-school graduation to my college graduation, you and Grandpa have always been there to cheer me on. Thank for always being there and for sharing so much with me (including your birthday). I love you!
Gail : My greatest memories are of being with you. It never mattered what we did or who we were with. We are so lucky to have the relationship you, Marcia and I have. I love you very much!!
Marcia : Rhoda Thanksgiving, 2005, we were together at Lisa and Ron s home. The next day, before departing you and I, Irwin and Allan, sat in our hotel room and I read to you what I had jotted down. It s all there. PLEASE read it once again. I love you, I miss you and I thank you. How lucky you, Gail and I are to have sisters who are our BEST friends.
Lisa : I use dictionaries all the time and teach my students to do the same. I wonder where I got that from?? Perhaps the English major. Must admit though, I still misspell many words. I know it is just because I rush. Also, when my students say things like, ?Hes be doing that,? I correct them and I always think of you mom. Thanks for straightening me out, well at least for trying your best to! (and yes... the messages from me might need some editing)
Susie : What a wise mother you are. I see the intellectual curiosity in each one of your children and grandchildren. I see the love in their eyes and hearts for those close to them. I see their compassion for all living things. Each time I m around you, I see more and more of Dave in you. You have molded, guided and encouraged him to become the man I fell in love with. I love and thank you for that. You truly ARE a wonderful mother.
Cindy : Mom: The first thing I said to David and Lisa when I saw your photo on this site was that I could actually hear you saying decisions, decisions, decisions . And with that, I recall the decision I made that I had to hold your hand everywhere we went til I was about 12 years old. And speaking of re-calling.... Remember when you lived in The Hamlet and we d talk on the phone for an hour, then hang up, and you d call back cause you remembered something else you wanted to tell me? We didn t even have Caller ID then but I knew when the phone rang after we hung up the first time, it would be YOU. And remember how you or I would just start to giggle, and then the two of us would be sitting there with the tears running down our cheeks cause we were laughing so hysterically? MEMORIES.....What great ones I have of you, and of us, and of our whole family. You are the BEST mother ANYONE could have
Your firecracke : I LOVE YOU MOM!!!!!
Lisa : 4th of July!!! On the 4th we took many family trips to Eisenhower Park for a picnic during the afternoon. Then, as the night sky fell upon us, we would lie down on our blanket and watch the fireworks overhead. Thanks for some spectacular birthday memories. Fireworks still excite me to this day. I squeal as they explode!
Your swimmer! : Swim Team: Heck, I might as well post this story, I have told it enough to people. When I was on swim team, my mom supported me by coming to my meets. I remember looking up and seeing her sitting in between the football players and she was waving at me. All I wanted to do was be invisible. I most likely acted like I did not know who that lady was. But yes, that was my proud mom sitting in the stands for ME!
Lisa : Mom: If you did not continually take us to the library, and all the summer programs, I don?t know how I would have ever developed my love for reading. Curious George was the very first book series I remember being able to read on my own. Thank a ton for instilling the love of reading in me.
Lisa : Mom: During the winter Holidays Ron made lamb chops for Pam?s friends. They all tried it, liked it and commented how they never had them before. I told them my mom made them for us growing up and they were scrumptious.
Lisa : Mom: Every school year I explain to my students (my children for the year) about the bell . When we were sick, especially with laryngitis, you gave us the bell to use. When we needed you we just rang it and you came to our aide. You always took such great care of us when we were sick, thanks.
Lisa : One of my favorite memories is that of our trips to the beach. My mom loves the feel of sand on her feet. She took us to the beach to play in the sand and swim in the ocean. I live in Florida today so I can be around beaches. We both have collected a shell or two over the years.
David : I ve made the text box larger, to accommodate longer comments. Let me know if you have any problems with it!
David : Mom - Even though I thought it was useless at the time, forcing me to do well in English has helped me through all 39 of my years. :) Funny thing is, years later when you started in on eating healthy , well, let s just say I now look at the nutritional info on EVERYTHING before buying it. I m grateful for everything you ve taught me! Thanks again!
David : Mom - I hope you like this message board. I did it for you! with love, your tallest son
